7/10/2023 0 Comments Quicksand escape![]() We did the "Chinatown" theme and they did a great job giving a restaurant feel. Something I didn't love about the first escape room was how small and crowded it felt. The room - the room itself was very well done. Anywhoo! This time I got a group of friend together and the room/experience by far exceeded the first. ![]() Truly a blast! I have only had experience with one escape room before - my office did the whole "team bonding" thing. We highly recommend Quicksand Escape Games. Less expensive than some rooms we have visited, yet so much better! Again, great fun, great puzzles, and a large enough space so we all fit very comfortably and had plenty of different puzzles to work on simultaneously. We had such a great time we came back the next night, while we were still in town, and brought another family along with us. ![]() The number of puzzles was perfect as we escaped with literally no time to spare. We found the clues sufficiently challenging, as we had to ask for a couple of hints along the way. We also love the fact that its more than one room, you are led into more rooms with more clues which adds so much to the excitement! The story, variety of clues and puzzles, and props were all very well done. This rooms is by far our very favorite ever. We have played a couple of escape rooms in the past as a family, so we have a little experience. It was my husband and I and our two 10 year old boys. We played the Speakeasy Nouveau as a family.

7/9/2023 0 Comments Biomutant game review![]() Also, they don’t affect the story and the direction you’re going to tailor there, so don’t worry too much about what you’re going to develop into. Classes are more makeup than some benefit, although some are better for managing a variety of firearms and come with better weapons, a few extra perks, but aren’t exactly a lot different. With some face color, class and a few little things, everything is ready. Eventually I stoipped somewhere around the middle because I didn’t want to look like a deformed, hairy barrel. The more you elevate certain attributes, the more you deform your mammal. I liked it, mostly because it is special. Fast-travel and loading times are not at the level of the new generation, at least on the PS5. Fast movement opens up a pop-in problem, meaning that drawings of the environment and objects in the distance are visible to the eye (even in the immediate vicinity, very often). Turn the camera around while exploring the more open part of the map, or even running through linear cramped spaces has the same effect. The following platforms and performances are supported: Windows (4K / 60 FPS), PlayStation 4 ("regular" version in dynamic 1080p and 30 FPS, PRO in dynamic 1080p and 30 FPS), Xbox One ("regular" version in dynamic 1080p and 30 FPS, X in dynamic 1080p and 30 FPS), PlayStation 5 (dynamic 1080p and 60 FPS), Xbox Series X / S (only in 60 FPS and 4K).Īlthough the PS5 comes with support for 60 FPS, take it with a huge dose of caution - there are too many drops, the frame rate is very unstable. I think the first move is definitely to fix the PS5 version. As the loading times aren’t any much better (faster) on the new consoles either, it’s clear that this is a game made for the last generation and the question is whether any next-gen patches will come in the future. Sadly, because at the same time the new Xbox console does not have them. All you can get is "stretched" dynamic 1080p on which you will see all these problems. Recently, patch 2.01 "removed" 4K support due to technical issues. In terms of performance, I played the PS5 version and unfortunately, it’s not the best version of the game you can try. The initial selection is easy to "refine" in all directions later, so don't worry too much about what you're choosing at start. I didn’t go too high on intelligence, but I'm good with a sword and a gun. Don't worry, you are a cute little mutant mammal (from heart - a rat) that will opose this black destiny.ĭual Wield, Telekinesis, Dead-Eye. The tree has taken root on all sides and you guessed it - on each side a beast is slowly nibbling on its life, which is why every glimmer of hope for a better tomorrow disappears. ![]() They are huge mutant beasts that want to eat the only thing that keeps this planet alive - the Tree of Life. They hooked me with the last couple of trailers, I fell in love with this world that looked alive, full of greenery, even though it is a polluted world where races have mutated and where the world vibrates in terror of huge beasts that want to eat it - we call them Worldeaters. It is interesting that everyone is in charge of everything in Experiment 101, there is no clear leadership and this is the product of a freedom of choice (maybe that is why they carry that name).Ī post-apocalyptic kung fu fable sounds like something I would play right away. You have to keep in mind that this is an AA game, otherwise you might be disappointed. ![]() But they succeeded, this small team of people of only twenty-ish employees did a wonderful job. I was also skeptical when the information fell silent, when it was stated that the bug situation was problematic and that the game would not even come out. I note this game back when it was announced. The beginning is promising, but you will already "feel" the problems in the fight itself. Let's embark together on a mutated adventure called Biomutant - a post-apocalyptic kung-fu fable! Additionally, luck flickers in certain segments of the game, but a lot of it should be also mentioned as a minus. I would say we found ourselves somewhere in the middle and a little further towards that positive side. The result can be everything, or maybe "nothing" is what awaits you. on a rat-mammal-mutant who will find itself in yet another open-world RPG game. What’s different here is the development team themselves: a handful of people who have been working faithfully and dedicatedly since 2017. What can possibly go wrong when a developer named Experiment 101 takes matters into their own hands and does what they call themselves (an experiment), and THQ Nordic gets behind it? A lot, especially since we remember the previous Darksiders under THQ which had some serious problems (but I still consider them as solid games). 7/9/2023 0 Comments Sat vs act![]() Most questions on the SAT are multiple-choice, except for the essay. Writing and Language section 44 questions. The sections on both the ACT and SAT tests have different time allocations and questions. The math section works the same way as the SAT - the difficulty increases as you go through the questions. The difficulty level on the ACT is random on the English and Reading sections. As we clear-cut forests, as we turn farms into industrial monocultures that produce toxic, nutritionally empty commodities, as our diets become degraded through industrial processing with synthetic chemicals and genetic engineering, and as we perpetuate the illusion that earth and life are raw materials to be exploited for profits, we are indeed connecting. We are linked worldwide through the spread of diseases like the coronavirus because we have invaded the homes of other species, manipulated plants and animals for commercial profits and greed, and cultivated monocultures. New diseases arise because a globalized, industrialized, inefficient agriculture invades habitats, destroys ecosystems, and manipulates animals, plants, and other organisms with no respect for their integrity or their health. All of these emergencies are rooted in an economic model based on the illusion of limitless growth and limitless greed, which violate planetary boundaries, and destroy the integrity of ecosystems and individual species. Beings we can own, manipulate, and control. All of these emergencies are rooted in a mechanistic, militaristic, anthropocentric worldview that considers humans separate from-and superior to-other beings. The health emergency of the coronavirus is inseparable from the health emergency of extinction, the health emergency of biodiversity loss, and the health emergency of the climate crisis. When we wage war on the biodiversity of our forests, our farms, and in our guts, we wage war on ourselves. Instagram 7.5 is available today from the App Store and Google Play. This is your destination for Instagram related discussions, Instagram photos, articles and much more. By allowing different aspect ratios to be shared natively, are they moving away from what made them great? Or just embracing how users have been uploading content to the social media app for years? This is a monumental shift for Instagram, who popularized the square photo. Users can also adjust filter intensity on their videos. In the past, Instagram has had separate filters for photography and video shares. Your posts will appear as a center-cropped square when viewing your profile.Īnother update is all filters are now available for both photos and videos. But Instagram is not getting rid of your profile grids. Once you share the photo or video, the full-sized version appears in followers' feeds. The new feature, which rolls out today on iOS and Android, allows users to tap the format icon to adjust the orientation to portrait or landscape instead of square. No more friends getting cut out of group shots, cramped video, and not being able to "capture the Golden Gate Bridge from end to end." Instagram is looking to make it easier to get those non-square photos and videos online by removing the 1:1 aspect ratio requirement. The reason for the change? Instagram did some number crunching and noticed a trend. Nearly one in five photos or videos posted are not in the square format. "We want to make it simple and fun for you to share moments just the way you want to," the Facebook-owned company said of the new feature release.
